VIMAL PILLAI

Head of Marketing and Digital Initiatives - Clover Infotech (India), Vimal Pillai brings 12+ years of extensive experience in the areas of marketing, communications, web and digital technologies. At Clover Infotech, he has been instrumental in creating a robust digital strategy to enable new customer acquisition across India and international markets. He has led the conceptualization and implementation of new-age digital solutions for the customers of the company.

In his stint at Clover Infotech, he has led the transformation of the “marketing” function and enhancement of brand recall by developing areas of strategic impact. These include brand management, PR and media relations, strategic events, and marketing initiatives with alliance partners which comprise the world’s leading technology organizations.

Prior to Clover Infotech, he has worked with 63 moons (formerly known as Financial Technologies group of companies), in the marketing communications department. He led the marketing initiatives for its brokerage technology suite of products which enjoyed a market share of over 80%. He set-up and led the marketing communication and brand management function at the group’s multi-asset exchange based out of Mauritius. He also played a key role in marketing and communications at group venture MCX – a world leading commodity exchange.

He has been featured among the “Most Influential Martech Leaders” by the World Marketing Congress in November 2017 and is among the “100 Most Influential National Leaders in Marketing” listed by CMO Asia in July 2015. He holds a master’s degree in management studies and a B.E in information technology from the University of Mumbai.
